Will the Turkey Trot be in person this year? Yes, the 2023 Shinnston Turkey Trot will be live and in person. However if you are unable to make it to Shinnston on Thanksgiving Day there is a virtual option.
Can I register virtual and run in person on vice versa? NO, if you register as a virtual participant you can not come on race day to participate. If register for the in person event but don’t show then you can’t participate virtually.
What time does the race start? We will start the Gobble Wobble at 8:50 am with the 5K starting at 9 am. Please allow time to park and get to the start like. The road near the start line will close at 8:50 am
Where can I park? Parking is located at the Rail Trail head, along with many other surrounding businesses that are closed on race day.
Where is pre-registration and packet pick-up? *ONE NIGHT ONLY * Wednesday November 22 from 5-8 pm. The Light House at Shinnston First Baptist Church – 70 Rebecca Street Shinnston, WV
Are pets allowed at the event? No, due to the increase size of the event and number of participants.
Are there awards? Yes, awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers. Medals will also be awarded to the top 3 males and females in all age brackets?
Do I need to wear my race bib? Yes, it contains your timing chip. You must cross the start and finish line to calculate your race time.
